Gerhard B. is injured with a bayonet at Alte Jakobstraße
On the evening of 18 August 1961 Gerhard B., born 1942, tried to break through at control point 43 in Alte Jakobstraße; he resisted when being taken in and was injured with a bayonet.
In an entry timed at midnight at the head of the journal for 19 August 1961, the Prenzlauer Berg police reported an attempted breakthrough 'in the evening hours of today' at KP 43, Alte Jakobstraße, by Gerhard B., born in 1942.
He resisted when he was being taken in and was injured with a bayonet, then admitted to the police hospital. The inspectorate complained that no remand prosecutor could be reached, which had caused difficulties over his admission, and asked for the case to be evaluated.
