Three generations jump into the net at Bernauer Straße 10
At about 11.30 p.m. Mrs K., her daughter-in-law and her grandson Detlef jumped from the second floor into a West Berlin fire brigade net.
At about 11.30 p.m. on 19 September 1961 Mrs K., her daughter-in-law and her grandson Detlef fled from Mrs K.'s flat at Bernauer Straße 10.
They jumped from the second floor into a jumping sheet held by the West Berlin fire brigade.
The same evening, a few houses along at Bernauer Straße 8, the Knittel family also escaped into a fire brigade net.
