A building worker at Melchiorstraße jumps the wall
On 29 August 1961 a man who was taking part in building work at the corner of Melchiorstraße and Adalbertstraße jumped over the wall.
According to the Stasi report of 29 August 1961, a man who was taking part in construction work at Melchiorstraße/Adalbertstraße jumped over the wall. The report writes the street as 'Melchow-/Adalbertstraße'.
In the same sentence the report records that a woman climbed over the wall with her child at Lohmühlenstraße, helped from the West Berlin side, and adds that the guards responsible had not kept to their assigned area.
