A former border officer helps Rainer P. over the Wall and is caught
Having reconnoitred the border, the pair crossed every barrier from a back yard on Kremmener Straße; Uwe W. boosted Rainer P. over the Wall and was then arrested at its foot.
In May 1977 Rainer P. and Uwe W., a former border troops officer, planned their escape and scouted the border installations.
Starting from the back yard of Kremmener Straße 8, they got over the inner wall, the signal fence and all the other barriers without difficulty.
Uwe W. helped Rainer P. climb the border wall, but was then arrested directly in front of the Wall by the sentries at Ruppiner Straße.
